Punakaiki is best known for its Pancake rocks and blowholes, but it is also the centre for Paparoa National Park - 30,000 ha of varied landscape from mountain tops to sea level.

Our Visitor Centre, located on SH 6 opposite the entrance to the 'pancake rocks and blowholes' walkway, is open every day. Our helpful team of staff will assist you plan your day, with information on activities, accommodation and what to see while you are here. We have a wide range of conservation retail products.
