We’ll land on Motuara Island bird sanctuary for a 1-hour guided bush walk to see blue penguins, robins, saddlebacks, bellbirds, & wood pigeons before enjoying the breathtaking view across Cook Strait.

3-4-hour tours depart daily at 9:00am and 1:30pm. Try one of our ‘Wildlife Watch & Walk’ options where you can enjoy our ecotour before being dropped at historic Ship Cove. After exploring the area and playing with the resident weka birds, you’re free to walk the most popular segment of the Queen Charlotte Track and will be picked up later in the day.

Seahorse World is an invaluable resource, with one of the largest collections of New Zealand marine life on display. Our hundreds of seahorses are the stars. We have a preserved 6 metre giant squid (leviathan of the deep and never seen alive), sharks, crayfish, rays, octopus, commercial species, rocky shore display, life size Orca and Hectors dolphin models, touch pool, magnificent collection of marine fossils, video and reading area and many highly informative wall displays.
