Native trees and ferns, seasonal exotics, birds in their natural environment, lily ponds, water features, meandering walks over bridges and streams, ponga sculptures by an award winning artist and a relaxing bush walk to a cascading waterfall, 'The Seven Stairs to Heaven'. Ngatea Water Gardens Function Centre, set in the award winning Ngatea Water Gardens, is centrally located, 1 hour from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. The wheelchair friendly, upstairs function lounge, is complete with kitchen, bar, dancefloor, balcony and breathtaking view. Our on-site cafe and catering business can tailor your catering requirements to suit your function. With a limit of 160 people, the function lounge is equipped with tables and chairs, and is available for hire 7 days, year round. We can hire in conference equipment to suit your needs, or you are welcome to provide your own. An optional garden walk, complete with its funny signs and scenes, is perfect to relieve stress, and refresh the heart, mind and soul.

Centrally located, 1 hour from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga, Ngatea Water Gardens Wedding Venue is a five acre complex offering facilities and a price structure to cater for part or all of your wedding, in the districts most picturesque surroundings. For your ceremony and photos, the award winning water gardens offer an amazing variety of picturesque backgrounds. For your reception, the wheelchair friendly upstairs function lounge is complete with kitchen, bar, dancefloor and breathtaking view. It can seat up to 130 people for a meal which can be catered for onsite by our cafe and catering business. Including guests to the afterdance, the lounge has a limit of 162 people.
